Dar Hosta James, local artist and writer, describes herself as “a painter of trees and circles, a writer and illustrator of children’s picture books, a designer, a teacher of both children and adults, a speaker on creativity and education and a creativity coach.”
Dar Hosta describes her process: “My exploration in visual arts has been life long and self-taught; my two favorite traditional mediums are cut paper collage and acrylic on canvas. Several years ago, I became a Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach to work with people from all walks of life in order to help them connect with their own creativity and live an authentic life. I am also a workshop instructor in a variety of venues, teaching playful art classes for both children and adults, live at my home studio and online. In October, 2016, I had the great honor of being trained as a Golden Artist Educator for Golden Paints, which completely blew up my mind for the endless ways we can work with acrylic paints and mediums.”
